I spoke with BBC Newsbeat about the Time’s Up 4% Challenge, an initiative set up to increase the number of women directing major studio films. The challenge is based on the statistics that over the last decade, only 4% of the top 1,200 studio films were directed by women.

After an amazing festival run around the world I’m thrilled to finally share Abandon online for all to see. This film was conceived to help development for my debut feature film Mari. Abandon is a one-take drama using dance to convey the complex emotion of the protagonist.

I had a wonderful night at the Castle Cinema doing a retrospective of my short films, a special event that was part of the 2018 Underwire Film Festival. I did an extended Q&A with Underwire Festival Producer, Anna Bogutskaya, talking about my journey to date and the recent jump I made from shorts to features. We screened my very first film, a documentary, Band Sur Le Run, fashion films Brighter Borough & Every Savage Can Dance and my two drama shorts A Moment To Move & Abandon. Underwire does an incredible job at championing women in the film industry, alongside its film programme, Underwire hosts Wired Women, an annual industry programme, which hosts discussions, practical workshops and sessions aimed at new entrants into the film industry.
